lingua franca I Tooth & Nail Gallery I Adelaide I 2015
Representing Sarah Moller's sixth solo
exhibition, the body of paintings in this exhibition comprised the
practice-based research component for doctoral studies in Visual Arts. The
culmination of four years of studio research in Germany and Australia, the work
drew upon gazes gathered en route between ordinary life and the extraordinary
holiday setting. Originating in transience, lingua franca conveyed the movement and fleeting nature of the tourist
spectacle as it transpires within the contemporary setting.
